The First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Patience Umo Eno, has passed away.
The state Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, confirmed her death in a statement released early Friday. She died on Thursday in a hospital surrounded by family members. The family expressed their gratitude to those who supported them during this time and requested privacy as they mourn. Governor Umo Eno also reassured citizens that, despite this personal loss, he remains committed to serving the state.
