Pessimism: The EU is not helping Ukraine – morale is falling

US President-elect Donald Trump is putting pressure on European countries to increase aid to Ukraine after a decline in support from Washington, according to the Washington Post.

The article also notes that the soldiers of the 33rd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that they were not in a good mood, they had to retreat, and morale was falling lower.

At the same time, they believe that Trump's arrival could be a turning point and lead to negotiations.

When asked what they thought about a possible cease-fire in 2025, they said they would welcome it, but were skeptical that it would come soon.

"I'm afraid we'll just be abandoned. These are the thoughts that creep in – that support and supplies from our allies and ammunition will simply stop. If this doesn't happen, we won't have anything to shoot with," added 26-year-old soldier Alexander.
