Kylian Mbappe has been the subject of persistent transfer rumors linking him to Real Madrid, dating back to his breakout season with AS Monaco in 2016/17.
Mbappe was widely anticipated to join Real Madrid on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2022.
However, he surprised many by making an unexpected U-turn and opting to sign a new contract at Parc des Princes instead.
Mbappe's most recent contract with Paris Saint-Germain is set to expire in 2024.
According to sources, it is understood that Mbappe has no intention of signing another contract in the French capital, which could finally open the door for his much-anticipated move to Spain.
In an interview with Movistar+, La Liga chief Tebas shared his expectation that Mbappe will emerge as the league's newest superstar in the upcoming year.
'Convinced, no, but it is a destiny for him, for sure. I think he will be in La Liga next season at 70 or 80%,' says Tebas.
