The APYF criticized the government for allegedly trying to deceive the public with two identical appointment letters for Hadejia, both signed by the state secretary on October 27, 2023.
The forum condemned this alleged cover-up and accused the government of possibly supporting criminal activities, which is particularly concerning given Zamfara's ongoing issues with insecurity, including banditry and kidnapping. The APYF demanded a thorough investigation and accountability for those involved, warning of mass protests and calls for federal intervention if the governor fails to resign within the given timeframe.
