Grammy-winning star Burna Boy has received the fourth-highest nominations at the 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards.
On Thursday, BET announced its nominations for this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards.
The 18th annual awards event, scheduled to take place live in Atlanta on October 3, will highlight the best performers in the field.
The nominees for this year are an interesting mix of seasoned professionals, budding newcomers, successful producers, and global leaders.
Cardi B and 21 Savage led with 12 nods each and Drake right behind with nine.
While Burna Boy and DJ Khaled received seven nominations each with J.Cole following behind with six.

Burna’s nominations include Hip-Hop Artiste of the Year, Song of the Year – “Sittin’ On Top Of The World” ft. 21 Savage, Best Collaboration with “Sittin’ On Top Of The World” ft. 21 Savage, Best Hip-Hop Video with “Sittin’ On Top Of The World” ft. 21 Savage, Best Live Performer, Lyricist of the Year and Hustler of the Year.
Last year, Kendrick Lamar ruled the awards ceremony, clinching six wins including artist of the year and album of the year for “Mr. Morale & The Big Stepper”, which entered the Billboard 200 at No. 1.
