Chima Udoye has been crowned the winner of Nigerian Idol Season 9.

He clinched the victory on Sunday after competing for months against some of Nigeria's top vocalists. The grand finale kicked off with all 10 contestants performing John Legend's "Glory," followed by special appearances from past winners of the show, Progress and Victory Gbakara.

The audience enjoyed guest performances by Simi and Chike before the top 3 contestants, Lammy, Chioma, and Chima, performed their final sets.

Chima emerged as the winner, receiving N30 million in cash, a music deal including a music video, a DSTV Explora with a one-year premium subscription, and a brand new SUV.
