The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has denied claims that former Kogi State governor Yahaya Bello is in its custody.
Contrary to reports from Bello’s media office stating he had honored an invitation to the EFCC, the agency clarified that Bello remains wanted for ₦80.2 billion money laundering charges.
The EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, emphasized that there is still a valid warrant for his arrest following failed attempts to apprehend him.
