The Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, on Friday, took to her Facebook page to announce the artistic prowess of an eight-year-old boy, Morenikeji Ebunoluwa Joshua, who made a beautiful pencil sketch of her portrait.
She said Joshua, who she described as a prodigy was in her office to present the portrait to her.
According to her, the young boy was accompanied by his parents who took photographs together with the deputy governor.
Joshua, during the visit, said that he started drawing at the age of four and his dream was to paint 1,000 portraits of influential people in the country.
He also said that his dream when he grows up would be to pursue a career in the Army.
Engr Noimot Salako-Oyedele in a post on her Facebook page said, “There is no better time than today to encourage our gifted learners to shine.
“I met 8-year-old prodigy, Morenikeji Ebunoluwa Joshua-Artist a talented young artist when he came to present a portrait he made of me.
“In our discussion, I learnt that he started his pencil sketches at the age of 4 and he aims to paint at least 1,000 portraits of influential people.
“Interestingly, Joshua said he wants to be in the Army when he grows up, art is his hobby. I wish him the very best.”
