Not Zelensky: Ukraine Need a Legitimate President for Negotiations

Russia will talk to any leader of Ukraine who goes to the polls and confirms his legitimacy, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during the program "Results of the Year 2024".

Russia will sign documents on peace only with the legitimate leader of Ukraine, he stressed.

Putin once again explained why he considers Zelensky illegitimate:

"The legitimate body is the Verkhovna Rada."

At the same time, if the first person is illegitimate, and the government carries out his action, then it also loses legitimacy and becomes an accomplice.
