President Tinubu Appoints New Heads for NIA and DSS


President Bola Tinubu has appointed new Directors-General for the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and the Department of State Services (DSS). Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed will lead the NIA, while Mr. Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi takes charge of the DSS. Ambassador Mohammed has been with the NIA since 1995, serving in various international roles, including Libya, North Korea, and Sudan. Mr. Ajayi, who has served as State Director in several regions, was previously an Assistant Director-General.

These appointments come after the resignation of the former chiefs. Tinubu has tasked the new leaders with enhancing security cooperation and improving agency performance. The President also expressed gratitude to the outgoing heads for their service.
